the k800i/k790 block (or candy bar ) style phone weighs 115 grams, buttons operated thumb. has dual-front design common sony ericsson mobile phones since sony ericsson k700, of mobile phone designed digital camera , intended held sideways take photographs. central joystick button used selecting options , navigating menus, c button undo or delete key, , arrow-labelled button button .

the phone has standard minimum user-available internal memory capacity of 64 mb. external memory capacity can extended using memory stick micro m2, intended support both camera , media player function of phone. phone can connected computer data transfer , recharging. communication made using either built-in bluetooth wireless or supplied usb data cable, connects phone using sony ericsson s proprietary fastport connector, located on bottom of phone. phone can used bluetooth or usb gprs/3g modem.


k800i/k790 cellphones feature full support usb mass storage recognition. means there no need driver installation on modern operating systems such mac os x, windows xp , linux, phone automatically recognized external storage device upon connection. data retrieval includes ability output files infra-red , bluetooth (as in network-transmitted messages) other devices. although typical of many recent sony ericsson devices, support outputting files other on mobile network has been variable other brands.


in calendar, new feature supported recurring event notifications on yearly basis, predecessor k750 lacked. calendar closely compatible microsoft outlook.
