according 2001 census population of village 80% christian, 19% non-religious , 1% other. although st michael & angels church parish church, many of residents attend other nearby anglican churches such church of resurrection in hurley or st. mary church of our lady in merevale. wood end lies within roman catholic parish of st. john baptist, main collegiate church being st. john s presbytery in tamworth.
