since show shifted singing competition over-all competition, mentors changed household local musicians veteran actors , actresses composed of roderick paulate, gina alajar, ricky davao, phillip salvador , jolina magdangal. joey de leon , bert de leon continued roles judges annette gozon-abrogar , cherie gil new members of panel. carla abellana replaced ogie alcasid journey host while maxene magalona joined cast webjock.


the pilot episode of inside protégé aired on july 23, 2012 , first gala night held on august 5, 2012.


during 5th gala night (aka protégé shock!), there twists revealed: first, there multiple elimination leaving 10 remaining protégés in competition. right after results, second twist announced mentors have keep 1 protégé stay under guidance. because of multiple elimination, mentors not able decide right away , instead, told task next week — resulting suspension of third twist. third twist mentors had choose other mentor less protégés except original protégé.
