the first volume of punisher war journal ran 80 issues, cover-dated november 1988 july 1995. written , penciled carl potts, , inked jim lee, became series penciler, changed creative teams issue #25 (december 1990) writer mike baron , penciler-inker mark texeira. chuck dixon took on writer #38 (january 1992), continuing final issue, except #65-74 (april 1994 – january 1995) written steven grant. others associated title include multi-issue pencilers tod smith, ron wagner, john hebert, hugh haynes, melvin rubi, , penciler-inker gary kwapisz.


volume 2

the series relaunched following decade, titled punisher war journal, beginning new #1 (january 2007). initial creative team writer matt fraction , artist ariel olivetti, subsequent artists including cory walker, scott wegener, , howard chaykin. later, writer rick remender joined co-writer until title canceled make room new ongoing volume of punisher exclusively written remender.


the series had 1 annual, named if die before wake released in january 2009 simon spurrier , drawn antonio fuso , lee loughridge.
