in elementary school akeomi nitta loved baseball; during junior high chose not pursue sports, instead concentrating on other activities. daido-juku karate rekindled interest, , won first tournament participated in although white belt (beginner) @ time. after met teacher, mr.katsuyama, , became pupil of s.v.g., kickboxing gym, won championship of shin-karate absolute class knocking out opponents.

he knocked out opponent again in first professional match, , future welterweight champion of new japan kickboxing federation, hiroshi suzuki, in second. knocked out future welterweight champion, of japan kickboxing federation, tatsuya suzuki, , won 12 straight matches april 1994 september 1998. in october 1996, won new japan kickboxing federation middleweight championship title. in march 2000, defeated mohammed owali, wpkl world super welterweight champion no other japanese kickboxer had been able defeat. 2 months later, beat italian kickboxer , won title of wka world thai boxing super welterweight champion in milan, italy. later, won japan kickboxing federation middleweight championship.

he had several k-1 matches, notably against ramon dekkers of netherlands—called strongest kickboxer of 20th century —which ended in draw. dekker later said nitta strongest japanese kickboxer. nitta ko d american kit cope in k-1. in 2002 participated in k-1 world max japan tournament, knocked out takashi ohno, iska world oriental super middleweight champion. in 2005 defeated ash-ra, takehiro murahama , koutetsu boku while losing takayuki kohiruimaki , ian james schaffa. in 2006 lost yoshihiro sato.
