(some hypothesize approximation number of days in solar year, although maya had quite accurate calculation of 365.2422 days solar year @ least since classic era.) subsequent place values return base-twenty.


in fact, every known example of large numbers uses modified vigesimal system, third position representing multiples of 18×20. reasonable assume, not proven evidence, normal system in use pure base-20 system.
