a mini-series takes place parallel third season of beast wars , introduces characters not shown in original series such magmatron, razorbeast, , injector. other characters appear grimlock in beast wars body (a recolored dinobot toy) , ravage in transmetal ii tripredacus agent incarnation.


the mini-series focuses on magmatron, sent tripredacus council capture megatron after ravage s failure. however, magmatron has own agenda - create own army stasis pods axalon ejected in pilot episode of beast wars. scheme partially thwarted maximal double-agent razorbeast, ensures shell program used reconfigures many of protoforms maximals rather predacons. 2 sides clash in attempt stop magmatron returning cybertron captured megatron, unexpected aid grimlock ensuring magmatron sent cybertron empty handed. however, razorbeast s maximals , many predacons (led ravage, resurrected in transmetal ii body) left on earth, opening way future series.
