each contestant comes 1 @ time , given 1 minute answer many questions possible each correct answer worth $2,000. element known cash builder . after minute up, money earned cash builder placed 3 steps down on seven-step money board. contestant may remain @ step , play money in bank. however, contestant may placed 1 step lower down board lesser award, or 1 step further board greater award, each award s value being set chaser.

if contestant elects play greater reward, chaser starts 2 steps behind , contestant must answer 6 questions correctly reach home. if contestant elects remain @ standard starting position, chaser 3 steps behind , contestant must answer 5 questions correctly reach home. however, if contestant elects play smaller reward, chaser 4 steps behind , contestant must answer 4 questions correctly reach home.

once contestant nominates starting position, questions must answered correctly in order reach bottom of board , bank money. both contestant , chaser given same multiple-choice question 3 possible answers. each must secretly press 1 of 3 buttons on keypad lock in answer. when 1 person locks in answer, other given 5 seconds lock in, or else locked out. every correct response, contestant move 1 step towards bank. additionally, chaser moves 1 step down board each correct answer. no movement made (either contestant or chaser) if each give incorrect answer. chaser s job catch contestant , eliminate him or game capitalizing on mistakes contestant makes before or can bank money. if happens, contestant out of game , no money added team s total. however, if contestant banks or money, put team s prize pot contested in final round. in case contestant chose play negative amount , wins or head-to-head round, contestant remains in game team s total pot reduced negative value. repeated 4 contestants.

the contestants outrun chaser proceed final chase. if 4 contestants caught chaser, chaser offers amount of money , team nominates 1 contestant proceed final chase.

final chase round

in final round, called final chase , remaining contestants have 2 minutes answer many questions possible. during commercial break, contestants choose 1 of 2 question sets, or b, other set being put aside chaser. also, contestants given head start of 1 space per contestant participating in round. contestants must press own buzzer answer question , 1 pressed buzzer first can respond; if other contestant responds question treated incorrect answer, regardless of whether answered correctly or not. buzzer not used if 1 contestant in final chase. every correct answer moves contestants ahead 1 space.
