studholme loved animals , photographed them. reportedly charged sixpence autograph postcards , gave proceeds animal , theatrical charities. in 1904, studholme brought , won lawsuit against edward foley, london dentist, altered photographic image use in advertisement without permission. converted christian science , lived out retirement in hampstead , laleham where, in 1909, young architect edward maufe designed weekend house her. called house barn , possibly after dutch barn in musical miss hook of holland. studholme court, council block, later built on part of site of garden of studholme s former hampstead home, off finchley road.


studholme died @ home in london in march 1930 short virulent attack of rheumatic fever, @ age of 57, , buried in st marylebone cemetery in east finchley, survived second husband , children. left estate valued @ £58,303. on 10 march 2012 music hall guild of great britain , america erected commemorative blue plaque @ studholme s last home in hampstead, , restored memorial @ st. marylebone cemetery in east finchley.
