this bridge carries neepsend lane (b6074) on river don. on 11 march 1864, previous wooden bridge swept away great sheffield flood, caused collapse of dale dike dam. bridge replaced three-arched stone structure in 1885. alterations made in 1912 included rounded approaches, , lighting provided cast-iron gas lamps, contributed neepsend gasworks, located nearby.
