the greater grand forks symphony orchestra has been performing since 1905 , grand forks master chorale formed in 1983. both groups stage productions each year @ various locations in community. north dakota ballet company headquartered in grand forks , performs @ chester fritz auditorium. grand forks city band formed in 1886 , still stages shows year round.

the grand forks park district, established in 1905, operates 14 neighborhood parks, 28 tennis courts, , swimming pool. parks include features such playgrounds, baseball fields, softball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, , picnic areas. sertoma park includes japanese garden. park district operates eleven outdoor skating rinks , indoor ice arenas: purpur arena, eagles arena, blueline club arena, , gambucci arena. district owns center court fitness club.


there several golf courses in city , surrounding area. park district operates 18-hole, arnold palmer-designed, links style king s walk golf course , historic, 9-hole lincoln golf course. university of north dakota operated 9-hole ray richards golf course. forced sell course in 2016 leaving abandoned. 18-hole grand forks country club directly south of city. there golf courses in nearby east grand forks, minnesota , manvel, north dakota.
