various sources report duke of kent had mistresses. in geneva, had 2 mistresses, adelaide dubus , anne moré. dubus died @ birth of daughter adelaide dubus (1789 – in or after 1832). anne moré mother of edward schenker scheener (1789–1853). scheener married had no children , returned geneva, perhaps in 1837, later died.


in 1790, while still in geneva, duke took madame de saint-laurent (born thérèse-bernardine montgenet), wife of french colonel. went him canada in 1791, known julie de saint-laurent . accompanied duke next 28 years, until marriage in 1818. portrait of duke beechey hers.
