in january, grishina competed @ gymnastics olympic test event part of london prepares series in london, united kingdom. placed tenth in around competition score of 55.091. in event finals, placed seventh on vault scoring 12.633 , first on uneven bars scoring 15.033.

in march, grishina competed @ russian national championships in penza, russia. placed third in around competition score of 57.699. in event finals, placed second on vault scoring 14.340, third on uneven bars scoring 14.240, second on balance beam scoring 14.480, , first on floor scoring 14.640.

at end of march, grishina competed @ city of jesolo trophy in jesolo, italy, placed fifth in around competition score of 57.850.

in may, grishina competed @ european championships in brussels, belgium. contributed around score of 58.898 toward russian team s second-place finish. in event finals, placed fifth on vault scoring 14.266, second on uneven bars scoring 15.200, , fourth on balance beam scoring 14.066. grishina said, results quite normal on day of qualifications. made mistake on floor , took second place in all-around, unfortunately didn’t advance final on floor. in team final didn’t fall anywhere, , first all-around. says making mistake not allowable. mood of team, re sorry little insufficient reach first place in brussels. need polish our programs victory in london. win team, have increase our difficulty on vault. vault in brussels wasn’t competitive because of low start value. make vault more difficult, , increase difficulty on bars little. want polish choreography on floor, turns more stable. tell fans cheer me in london , really, try please them performances.

at end of july, grishina competed @ 2012 summer olympics in london, united kingdom. in qualifications, placed twelfth around score of 57.332 did not advance around final due 2 per country rule. in team final, contributed scores of 14.700 on uneven bars , 12.466 on floor towards russian team s second-place finish.

2013

in january, grishina began training coaches viktor razumovsky , irina razumovskaya.

in march, grishina competed @ russian national championships in penza, russia. placed second in around score of 57.400. grishina contributed around score of 55.650 toward moscow team s second-place finish , placed first in uneven bars final scoring 15.100.

later in march, grishina competed @ 37th tournament of masters in cottbus, germany. in qualifications, placed first on uneven bars scoring of 14.900 , first on balance beam scoring 14.050. in finals, grishina placed first on uneven bars scoring 14.375 , first on balance beam scoring 14.600.

in april, grishina competed @ european championships in moscow, russia. in qualifications, placed third in around score of 56.065. grishina placed third in around final score of 57.932. in event finals, placed third on balance beam scoring 14.366 , fourth on floor scoring 14.233.

in june, grishina competed @ anadia world challenge cup in anadia, portugal. in qualifications, placed seventh on uneven bars score of 13.375, nineteenth on balance beam score of 12.350 , ninth on floor exercise score of 13.175. in uneven bars final, grishina placed first score of 14.750. injury sustained during 2013 russian cup in august prevented competing @ 2013 world championships in antwerp, belgium.

2014

grishina competed @ 2014 russian championships in penza in april. placed third in senior all-around total score of 56.467 on 3 april. in team final, grishina contributed scores of 14.600 on balance beam , 3.200 on floor exercise towards moscow region s second-place finish. sustained knee injury on floor exercise , had carried off podium.

2015–16: hiatus , subsequent retirement

on january 19, 2016, national team co-ordinator valentina rodionenko confirmed grishina had retired artistic gymnastics training immediate effect. announcement came 3 days after twentieth birthday.
