convulsive symptoms include painful seizures , spasms, diarrhea, paresthesias, itching, mental effects including mania or psychosis, headaches, nausea , vomiting. gastrointestinal effects precede central nervous system effects.

the dry gangrene result of vasoconstriction induced ergotamine-ergocristine alkaloids of fungus. affects more poorly vascularized distal structures, such fingers , toes. symptoms include desquamation or peeling, weak peripheral pulses, loss of peripheral sensation, edema , death , loss of affected tissues. vasoconstriction treated vasodilators.
