the beach peacock bass visited tourist spot in town. emerging ebb of tocantins river, after rainy season beach occupies area of approximately 5 km ², of 3 quarters of fine sand , 1 quarter of vegetation. situated opposite central region of maraba, sands of island sighted in mid-april, high season in july, making main attraction of city.


the beach provides vacationers, practice water sports , sandy, camping, fishing, , various attractions promoted municipality.

Águia de marabá futebol clube, city s principal football club won state championship in 2010 , reached copa brasil semi-finals in 2009. in 2010, placed 8th on national championship s serie c.
