vinas took part other masked fighters in al-qaeda propaganda video featuring abu yahya al-libi, leader , frequent spokesman. had contact rashid rauf, pakistani/british member reportedly involved in 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot bring down u.s. flights.

vinas met najibullah zazi in pakistan in 2008. zazi, queens, had traveled pakistan (flying friends peshawar in august 2008) join taliban , fight against u.s. military , allies in afghanistan.
