skarreklit rock column in sea 100 metres off bulbjerg. fell down in storm in 1978, base can seen @ low tide , calm sea. base of column flint, allowing column withstand forces of waves, long after sea had eroded softer limestone around it. according legend, fall of column mean end of world. skarreklit presumably named after cormorant (danish: skarv, jutlandic dialect: skar); klit means dune , in jutlandic cliff .
