information science

information science--the interdisciplinary study of how humans use information technology—combines technical understanding of computer science , system design behavior context of social sciences. coursework covers fields of information architecture, information system design , development, programming design, database design, , social informatics, among others. two-semester senior capstone project, designed integrate many skill sets developed in program, required. currently, b.s. of information science offered, though may offered in conjunction degree.
