as 17-year-old, capped first-team debut goal in 2–0 win in conference against mansfield town on 19 april 2011.
i anson offered first professional one-year contract in may 2011, after impressing in club s youth team , final 4 first-team games of 2010–11 season. released , left club on 3 may 2012 after turned down fresh contract. played 17 times in league, scoring twice.

in july 2012, anson joined spanish side elche cf of segunda división on trial, later signing club. spent first senior season in spain reserves in tercera división, appearing 25 times , scoring once, being promoted segunda división b.
on 19 august 2013, anson included in first-team squad first time, remaining unused substitute elche began la liga season 3–0 loss @ rayo vallecano. made debut on 5 october, starting in 2–1 home win on rcd espanyol. anson sent off on 2 february 2014, reserves lost 1–0 @ lleida esportiu.
on 29 june 2014, anson joined real murcia on season-long loan; however, after club s relegation third level moved second-tier ad alcorcón in temporary deal. on 27 january 2015, after appearing sparingly madrid side, joined real oviedo on loan until end of season, helping them win third division.

on 20 august 2015, anson rescinded contract elche. following day, joined valencia cf mestalla, again in third tier. made debut them on 20 september, replacing nacho gil final 17 minutes of 3–2 loss @ ue cornellà. first goal them came on 30 april, opening 2–0 home win on cf badalona. on 10 september 2016, sent off in 2–2 draw @ atlético saguntino.

on 7 july 2017, charlie signed one-year deal granada cf.
