following graduation dartmouth college, geoff accepted appointment computer coordinator @ westtown school in westtown, pa taught mathematics , computer science. while @ westtown helped develop first ap computer science examination , in 1985 funded national science foundation work on new computer language education. in 1986 geoff entered villanova university s graduate program in computer science , taught mathematics there. completed master s degree in 1988; during years studying , teaching @ villanova andrews worked database designer @ isolite, in sales @ ibm , earned private pilot s license. after graduating began work @ efd interprises , subsequently went pmc engineering. in 1991 wife promoted management position in ibm cleveland ohio , came along her. starting in ohio worked technology director chagrin falls schools located east of cleveland.

polaris career center

in 1995 polaris career center hired andrews work of associated school districts. in 1996 @ polaris geoff created instruction learning , technology leadership institute, trained hundreds of teachers leverage technology catalyst improve learning. led, in 1997 andrews , polaris receiving ten million dollar technology innovation challenge grant department of education. grant focused on unique , compelling uses of internet in education. grant paid train 10,000 teachers in cleveland, miami , phoenix, , led andrews being named 1 of 15 shapers of future across country. in 2003 andrews given role assistant superintendent of polaris. @ polaris andrews oversaw:

in 2006 geoffrey andrews filled position of superintendent @ oberlin city schools, district in academic watch @ time. oberlin first full k-12 international baccalaureate (ib) district in ohio. ib split primary years program, middle years program, , diploma program. founded in 1968, ib made develop intellectual, personal, emotional , social skills live, learn , work in rapidly globalizing world. in 2011, first time ever, oberlin received rating of excellent state. every graduating student has been accepted college.

western academy of beijing

andrews appointed director of western academy of beijing (wab) 2011−12 school year. wab full ib international school located in china consisting of approximately 1,500 students on 50 countries worldwide.
