original production , tour

in may 2012, announced full monty receive world premiere in sheffield in 2013. play premiered @ lyceum theatre, sheffield on 2 february 2013, running until 23 february. production directed daniel evans, choreography steven hoggett, design robert jones, lighting tim lutkin , original music , sound design max , ben ringham. lead cast show included kenny doughty gaz, sidney cole horse, craig gazey lomper, roger morlidge dave, kieran o brien guy , simon rouse gerald. following debut in sheffield play embarked on eleven venue tour visiting birmingham, bristol, canterbury, aberdeen, belfast, edinburgh, dublin, salford, southampton, southend on sea , leeds.


london transfer

in january 2014, production began short pre-west end run @ new theatre, cardiff, followed theatre royal in bath. show transferred west end s noël coward theatre, began previews on 20 february 2014, before holding official opening night on 25 february, booking until 14 june 2014. original tour cast stayed production , tickets previews sold @ 1990 s prices. prior new run additional songs added , scenes altered make way new material. play received laurence olivier award nomination best new comedy. on 16 march, announced show close after 5 weeks on 29 march, due poor sales. move surprised critics , cast alike, online petition being launched. petition signed shows writer simon beaufoy, said of show s producers david pugh , dafydd rogers, why producer close own show before had chance of finding audience? , on other hand, why producer never come see own show? perhaps can answer these questions. can t because hasn t spoken either me or creative team in months. petition had no effect in terms of extending productions run , play closed on 29 march, replaced people.


2014–present tour

a new production embarked on 32-week tour of united kingdom, commencing @ manchester opera house, on 11 september 2014. featuring new cast show seen in major venues throughout britain finishing @ sheffield s lyceum theatre in june 2015. second touring production directed roger haines , casting includes gary lucy gaz, louis emerick horse, bobby schofield lomper, martin miller dave, rupert hill guy , andrew dunn gerald. typical london performance ran 2 hours , 25 minutes, including 1 interval of 20 minutes.


the tour continued in september 2015, same cast, performing in coastal resorts. tour continued september 2016. lucy, emerick , dunn continue in roles, new cast members anthony lewis lomper, kai owen dave, chris fountain guy & fiona skinner jean. tour directed jack ryder, choreographer ian west, assistant director james robert-moore, designer rob jones, , lighting tim lutkin.
