in 2006 finished fourth @ brands hatch, best result of first half of season. taken hospital after accident @ puebla. @ following event @ brno in czech republic, huff started 24th due 2 10-place grid penalties, fought through eighth place in first race, gave him pole race 2 – giving him lead never relinquished en route first wtcc win, , first chevrolet in dry. however, rest of season short on results, finished 16th in final standings.

for 2009, chevrolet switched cruze chassis. huff did not make best of starts season, failing progress through q2 @ race of brazil , scoring no points. not until race of morocco when things picked up; huff took pole position , won first race take first points of season , first win chevrolet cruze. qualified fifth @ race of france start meant passed pole sitter andy priaulx , farfus on second lap take second win of season. huff qualified on front row home event, race of uk. passed pole sitter menu , led away restart after safety car re-passed menu, depriving huff of home win , putting him under pressure bmw of priaulx. huff qualified sixth race of germany dropped sixteenth on grid after engine change incurred ten-place grid penalty. first lap incident in first race eliminated huff along jörg müller, jordi gené , farfus. gené caused accident in first race of race of italy, making contact huff under braking made contact seat of rickard rydell. huff escaped serious damage hold onto third. took pole position season finale @ macau , dominated first race. huff finished season ranked fifth in championship, ahead of team mates alain menu , nicola larini.

in 2010, finished championship third behind new team mate yvan muller , tarquini.

the chevrolet cruze dominant car in 2011, winning 3 races. chevrolet drivers in title battle of own, huff leading championship in season. muller took lead later on, taking battle right down last event @ macau. huff won both races not enough stop muller taking title, second chevrolet , third in total.

in 2012, chevrolet announced last season in wtcc. chevy cruze blue train huff, yvan muller , alain menu again dominant on field, taking 20 wins out of 24 races in season. muller took 9 wins , led championship of season, huff showed consistency , finished in points races except two. finishing behind muller did not seem enough until muller tagged menu lead in shanghai, penultimate round of championship, sending menu big slide , letting huff through overtake both of them , win race. menu lost vital race win , muller given penalty after race, putting him out of points altogether, giving huff big lead in points. menu furious muller, saying yvan ruined both of championships . in final round in macau, huff clear favourite 37-point lead on menu , 42 on muller after qualifying on pole. in first race though, drama unfolded. huff lost lead muller on lap 1 , overtook him on lap 4 regain lead right after made driving error , touched barrier twice, forcing him retire damage. muller won race ahead of menu, both reviving chances championship. huff s car got repaired race two, of both menu s , muller s crews in chevrolet. huff started race eighth , had finish fifth secure championship. on lap four, yvan muller ran of alex macdowall s chevrolet coming out of mandarin, fastest corner in wtcc calendar, spun macdowall wall hard. race finished 2 safety car periods. huff finished race second behind menu , ahead of muller, chevrolet s campaign in world touring cars ending on 1–2–3 finish team. second place points more enough huff win first world touring car title , first title british driver since andy priaulx in 2007.

münnich motorsport (2013)

huff joined all-inkl.com münnich motorsport in february 2013, driving 1 of team s seat león wtccs , replacing markus winkelhock in line-up 2013 season. failed set time in qualifying race of italy having collided wiechers-sport car of fredy barth in first few minutes of q1 , breaking suspension. allowed start races , climbed sixth place @ end of race one. car received further attention prior start of race 2 , started pit lane , finished tenth.

at 2013 fia wtcc race of china announced huff join lada sport 2014 world touring car championship season, having signed two–year deal team.

robert huff driver did not drive dominating citroën c-elysée , won numerous races in 2014 : 2 races, inverted grid departure race 2 , 60 kg lower compensation weight. in spite of these advantages, proved level of driving performances.
