Third station Yokohama Station

on october 15, 1928, third (current) yokohama station opened on north side of second station. tōkaidō main line moved current route, route of bypass line opened in 1898. government railways , toyoko line shared station beginning. on february 5, 1930, keihin electric railway (now keikyu main line) connected station.


on december 27, 1933, jinchū railway (now sotetsu main line) connected station. on december 9, 1957, north side underground entrance opened. on december 1, 1965, mars on-line ticket reservation system introduced @ station. on september 4, 1976, yokohama city subway line no. 3 connected yokohama station. on november 7, 1980, new east station building , east-west passage opened. on january 31, 2004, tōkyū tōyoko line platform reopened underground, , on february 1, 2004, minatomirai line opened.
