the city made of several amalgamated villages , communities. urban core has decidedly north-south axis bisected trans-canada highway. city bounded in north fraser river, in east eastern hillsides, in south canada–us border, , in west vedder canal. 939 farms on approximately 17,322 hectares (42,800 acres) of dedicated farmland, farming essential city s identity.
