biography

pigozzi french-born italian . born in paris in 1952 , son of henri pigozzi, founder of french car maker simca. pigozzi studied @ harvard university before working gaumont film company , 20th century fox.


business

in 2007, pigozzi created clothing , accessories line featuring bright colors , prints called limoland, intention of designing clothing “live create”. creative director of brand. of 2010, limoline sold in upscale department stores such bloomingdale s, barneys new york, bergdorf goodman, , nordstrom , had boutique store in new york city. pigozzi draws sketches , outsources technical aspects of design , creation of line.

pigozzi has assembled world’s largest collection of contemporary african art. known contemporary african art collection (caac – pigozzi collection). contemporary african art collection based in geneva, , on past 20 years has been exhibited @ museum of fine arts in houston; grimaldi forum in monaco; national museum of african art in washington d.c.; guggenheim museum in bilbao, spain; pinacoteca giovanni , marella agnelli in turin, italy; tate modern in london; , louis vuitton fondation in paris.


in 2006, started japigozzi collection of contemporary japanese art young japanese artists.

in 1996 pigozzi started buying land in , around bahia honda in panama conservation, , created liquid jungle lab (ljl). ljl founded bring high-technology ecological research , conservation following partners: smithsonian tropical research institute, woods hole oceanographic institution, royal botanical society in madrid , yale school of forestry. goal create, on isla canales de tierra, field station marine , botanical research.
