diaboleite deep blue in color , pale blue in transmitted light. mineral occurs tabular crystals 2 cm (0.8 in) in size, subparallel aggregates, or has massive habit. vicinal forms of tabular crystals have square or octagonal outline , exhibit pyramidal hemihedralism.
