the eschweiler-weisweiler langerwehe line 2.4 km long rail link, in eschweiler district of weisweiler, connecting eschweiler-weisweiler station , langerwehe station in neighbouring community of langerwehe. line maintained euregio verkehrsschienennetz , services operated euregiobahn.


the eschweiler-weisweiler–langerwehe planned , built new line intention of extending euregio services beyond langerwehe create connection @ düren julich-heimbach railway (also known rur valley railway, rurtalbahn). construction period lasted june 2007 june 2009 , total cost amounted approximately € 18 million.


for purpose, new line built included single-track overpass on federal highway 264 , single-track, 285 m long ulhaus tunnel under langerwehe arterial road, ends before langerwehe station. official opening on 10 june 2009 , operations started on 14 june 2009.

on 14 june 2009, euregiobahn services commenced eschweiler tal station langerwehe, continuing hourly düren december 2009.
