in 1990 wigginton relocated land studio berkeley, california. firm completed several significant designs public spaces. vision harlem conceptual study including drawings , recommendations re-integrating culture, place, , history in harlem landscape. study, containing ten illustrated site visions, commissioned harbor boys , girls/united settlement houses , supported office of rep. charles rangel never implemented. wheat walk, prize-winning proposal arboretum @ university of california, davis, has yet constructed.
projects completed in northern california included rutherford square in napa valley, communication arts magazine headquarters in menlo park, cabrillo college in aptos, , new orchard school in san jose. in addition public work, wigginton designed landscapes private residences in locations such la jolla, del mar, saratoga, , los altos hills. among land studio’s last public projects, still available viewing in area, site plan marina reconstruction of jack london square in oakland, alma place sro in palo alto, berkeley amtrak rail stop, , site , landscape design concept new berkeley bowl market. majority of work may accessed through ron wigginton collection established in 2006 @ university of california, berkeley, environmental design archives.
