to east of village on peckforton hall lane stands peckforton hall (sj545565), grade-ii*-listed farmhouse dating late 17th century. in red brick slate roof, hall has twin gabled bays later ungabled wing. nearby former farm building of same date timber-framed mixture of stone, brick , oak boarding; listed @ grade ii.


several former peckforton estate cottages, built john tollemache in around 1860, listed @ grade ii. constructed in red or brown brick, typically have single storey attic , feature lozenge windows , prominent chimney stacks. examples include fountain cottages, green cottage , mill beck cottage.


manor farm (sj540564) stands on peckforton hall lane @ east of village , typical of farmhouses built peckforton estate. farmhouse dates around 1870 , in red brick 3 bays, lozenge windows , timber studding gables. both farmhouse , adjacent farm building of same date listed @ grade ii. hillside farm (sj533556) on stone house lane south of village former estate farm, dating 1870. farm house , adjacent farm building grade ii listed.
