history

the wing controlled 3 navigation schools in texas, , supported aaf glider pilot school @ south plains. after graduation, flying cadets commissioned second lieutenants, received wings , reassigned operational or replacement training units operated 1 of 4 numbered air forces in zone of interior (zi).

disbanded on 16 june 1946.

the schools of wing used beechcraft at-7s navigation training. glider training focused on waco cg-4a, along various tow planes gliders airborne.
